The Gamma Rho Chapter was installed on February 16, 1948 in the University of New Mexico Student Union by Grand Regent, Frank H. Eby, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Brother Roy Bowers. The dinner banquet was held at the Alvarado Hotel in Albuquerque. The Gamma Rho Chapter has grown steadily since the 1980's and currently has over 95 active brothers.
In March 2012, the Gamma Rho Chapter hosted the final Province IX assembly and brothers from Arizona, California, Nevada, and New Mexico had a wonderful time.
The chapter annually supports the Albuquerque Isotopes, competes in broom ball, and holds haunted houses for Halloween to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The chapter is also involved in various philanthropic activities: BP screenings, Diabetes screenings, and Vial of Life (just to name a few). Gamma Rho brothers are highly active at the University of New Mexico with most of the leadership positions within the school held by brothers, and the last 7 APhA-ASP UNM Chapter Presidents having been Gamma Rho brothers.
Favorite Chapter Activities:

Chapter History: The Epsilon Beta chapter of Kappa Psi was founded on April 12, 2008 by Dr. David Maize. Our chapter consists of 22 faculty members and approximately 70 active brothers. We are the largest pharmaceutical fraternity at the University of the Incarnate Word. We strive to help the community through our many community service projects which helps to instill our fraternity goal of fellowship. Our chapter strives to help the industry through health fairs given at local gyms and educating the public about Poison Prevention, Osteoporosis, childhood obesity/nutrition, and Type II Diabetes. Epsilon Beta brothers uphold themselves by displaying a sense of sobriety when completing a pharmaceutical task in the community. We incorporate the fraternity goal of high ideals by displaying great academic achievements as well as holding leadership positions in other organizations.
